Shipping

He wanted a better job.
This one could kill him.

An Arizona delivery driver takes responsibility for an alien shipment—and finds himself hurtling across the galaxy with no idea what he’s carrying.

An exhausted Fred beside his battered brown delivery truck in the Arizona desert.

Meet Fred

Three hundred deliveries.
Nothing to show for it.

Twelve-hour days. Ungrateful customers. An old leg injury that won’t let him forget the life he meant to have.

Fred once wanted to join the Navy SEALs. Now he delivers power cords and dog toys, while his employer prepares to replace drivers with robots.

When a spacecraft crashes in the desert, a dying pilot needs someone to finish a delivery. For once, Fred has exactly the right qualification.

Fred struggles to hold a drifting cargo chamber inside a spacecraft travelling through a wormhole.

An unfamiliar route

One package.
Every planet
at stake.

The pilot locks a strange device around Fred’s wrist and entrusts him with a sealed container. Then an armed alien arrives, and Fred’s only way out is up.

Earth disappears behind him. A wormhole opens ahead. And when the cargo breaks loose in zero gravity, the only delivery driver on board has to keep it from killing him.

A sleeping Black woman suspended in luminous fluid inside the mint-green cargo chamber as Fred looks through the glass.

Handle with care

The cargo
has a heartbeat.

Inside the container is a woman, sleeping in a glowing liquid. The light on Fred’s wrist pulses in time with her heart.

He doesn’t know who she is. He can barely remember who he’s supposed to deliver her to. But when her life signs falter, he knows he has to help.

Some packages are sealed for a reason.

A colossal industrial space station hangs beside a ringed planet, welcoming a tiny courier craft.

For film and television

A delivery job.
On a cosmic scale.

A burned-out Arizona delivery driver gets the career opportunity of a lifetime when an alien spacecraft crashes on his route and entrusts him with an intergalactic package—only to discover his cargo is a woman who may be the most dangerous being in the galaxy.

Fred faces a greasy three-eyed robot mechanic in a vast spacecraft repair bay.

For film and television

Workplace comedy
goes cosmic.

  • A working man with something to prove. Fred’s injury, dead-end job and fear of automation give the adventure personal stakes.
  • A simple objective. Escalating trouble. One delivery carries him from an Arizona crash site to a wormhole pursuit and a robot-run space station.
  • An exasperated human in an alien workplace. Even across the galaxy, Fred still has to wait for someone to fetch the floor manager.
  • A short story with room to expand. The cargo’s identity opens the door to a much larger screen adventure.
  • From an established screenwriter. Matt Lieberman’s credits include Free Guy and The Christmas Chronicles films.
